The Association of American Railroads (AAR), on behalf of the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) partners, has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a vendor to develop and support a new CREATE website.
The vendor also would be required to provide technical and content support. In addition to the CREATE website redesign, the partners are seeking recommendations for a communications strategy and social media management support, AAR officials said in a press release.
Proposals are due Sept. 12. A pre-bid information session will be held Aug. 22 in Chicago. Interested vendors must attend to submit a proposal. To make a reservation, contact Janice Scott at
The CREATE program is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Transportation, AAR, state of Illinois, Cook County, city of Chicago, Amtrak, Metra and freight railroads that operate in the region. The partners are investing billions of dollars in critical infrastructure improvements designed to improve rail transportation in the Chicago area.
