The bill calls for reducing total funding for public transportation by $457 million compared to the fiscal-year 2019 enacted levels and does not permanently block the impending $1.2 billion cut to transit formula funds in FY20, APTA officials said in a press release.
The coalition is urging the U.S. Senate to increase public transportation spending and permanently block the impending 12 percent cut to every public transit agency in the nation, APTA officials said.
