Service between the Oshawa Station and Union Station in Toronto will include 27 new train trips.Photo – GO Transit FacebookThe GO Transit commuter-rail service today expanded express train service on the Lakeshore East line in the greater Toronto area.
The expansion will serve riders in the Ontario communities of Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering.
Service between the Oshawa Station and Union Station in Toronto will include 27 new train trips, doubling midday and weekday service.
"We are growing services for our customers every few months and we are committed to continuously improving how we serve the communities that rely on us each and every day,” said Phil Verster, Metrolinx president, in a press release.
Metrolinx operates GO Transit.
