Harris-Gifford to design rail and transit systems for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff  (WSP) has named Michael Harris-Gifford as a senior principal technical specialist for organization’s the Orange, Calif., office.

 

 

In his new position, Harris-Gifford will develop and oversee systems design for rail and transit projects.

With more than three decades of experience in the power distribution and rail transportation industries, Harris-Gifford focuses on design-build projects. Before he joined WSP, Harris-Gifford was executive officer, rail operations, for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. He also oversaw all systems design and construction for the transportation authority’s Crenshaw/LAX Line, Regional Connector Line, Purple Line Extension and Exposition Line. 

Harris-Gifford is an alumnus of the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, where he received a bachelor’s degree of science. He is also a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology.
